Brad Young has over thirty years of experience in all aspects of workers compensation defense in both Missouri and Illinois, including the investigation of claims, trials, and appellate work. Mr. Young has spoken before corporate organizations and at in-house client seminars for many years, and frequently lectures for nationally known seminar companies on topics relating to workplace safety, workers’ compensation claims, employer liability, and third-party administration of claims.

Brad is the legal analyst for KMOX Radio in St. Louis, and is a frequent guest on local television station KTVI Channel 2, commenting on various legal issues and trends.  Additionally, Brad frequently writes articles for journals and magazines on a wide variety of legal topics.

Legislative Drafting

Mr. Young was on the legislative drafting committee for the 2005 revision to the Missouri Workers Compensation Act and provided legal counsel to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2005 on how to reform the Missouri Workers Compensation Act.  Mr. Young also drafted large portions of the proposed 2018 revisions to the Missouri Workers Compensation Act.

Additionally, Mr. Young is frequently called to testify before the Missouri Legislature on issues related to how legislative changes to the Act might affect Employers and Insurance Carriers throughout Missouri, including most recently:

Missouri Senate, Tuesday, February 20, 2018, testifying in support of Senate Bill 601 regarding whether the Missouri Division of Workers Compensation should adopt a medical fee schedule.
